American Car & Foundry delivered 100 4600 cubic-foot covered hoppers to the DT&I in November 1973. They were painted grey-white and were used to carry grain.

produce Herald King decal set

Accurail has revised the lettering on the #2028

In the early 1990's these cars were released by Grand Trunk Western and sold to Helm Financial Corporation (HJVX). There are still a handful of these cars in service today still wearing their original DT&I paint.
