Layout & Scale Model Photos:
Locomotives

Bruce Aoki built this model of #1776 from a K-Line 3-Rail O GP38-2 using Microscale decals.

He said his "interest came from growing up in Trenton, MI and seeing DT&I trains all the time. Spent many
hours with my dad watching trains at Flat Rock yard. Too bad I can't find all the pictures I took."

Check out his model of caboose #141, too!

Scott Heiden's HO model of GP40 #405 circa 1980. He started with an undecorated Atlas GP40 and added a nose bell and a few other details.

I just recieved this picture of a model of GP38-2 1776 by Greg Jones. I hope to have the info on how he built it (as well as the caboose!) soon.

DT&I GP35 353 built by Brian Everett.

Brian adds ...
It's still lacking some minor things - Firecracker antenna, air tanks, couplers, but otherwise is complete. I used Testors Orange 1127 paint, Herald King decals, OMI brass plow, and various DA parts to complete.

Garrett Rea's Proto2000 - based DT&I GP7 #955.

Garrett adds ... Pay no mind to the ditital camera quality, missing visors (painted the parts in December, could not find them last week when I was working on the model) or the GP9 handrails (on loan until I can get paint to stick to the GP7 ones, or order a black set from P2K). No weathering yet either

Some stock Atlas N scale model photos from Wade Bryant. Wade writes ...

"Attached are a couple of digital photos of a yet to be numbered DT&I GP9 running on a layout I started building a in Dec. 1999. I just became interested in model railroading some time before Christmas and on one of my first hobby shop trips became intrigued by this little DT&I GP9. My layout is freelanced but is stocked with DT&I and GTW cars that I have weathered to appear as they may have circa 1980."
